Hey I like cheese and I came from Uranus, how do you do?
Life has always been a huge roller coaster ride for me, full of ups and downs, making me start to get tired of it.
I feel like getting love drunk, falling into this beautiful dream and not coming out to face the reality.
I am always walking alone, I guess I'm just another coward.
I wanna put everything down, let go of every single thing in life, and then I'll fly high,
to somewhere you can't find.

Advertisement for Social Studies ~4:35 AM
The title of the advertisement which caught my eye is "Jakarta may suspend sending maids to Malaysia." More cases of maid abuse is popping up in Malaysia, causing Jakarta to consider not sending anymore maids to Malaysia.
Jakarta held a meeting on 23 June, conducting a preliminary evaluation. The latest case made headlines. An Indonesia maid named Siti Hajar was badly scarred after being on the receiving end of the rod insted of her employer's mischievious son. She was tortued for three years, along with being doused with boiling hot water.
Her employer, Hau Yuan Tyng was heavily charged for causing grievous bodily harm. She was immediately slapped with a 20-year jail term.
This affects the country's reputation and income badly as majority of Jakarta's maids are employed from Malaysia. There was also a poll on whether employers should give their maids a day off every week.
76% of the 585 people who resonded to the poll believed it was a bad idea as it will expose them to unwanted activities, such as dating and courting a relationship. Ok, bye!

Anyway, the Singapore Kindness Movement is this month and we are supposed to do kind acts. But it does not mean we should only do kind acts only in April.

Oral Exam on 23/4/09 ~6:49 PM
It was well after 3.00pm when I completed my oral exam. At 1.00pm, we went for lunch break before the oral exam. In the hall at 1.30pm, we sat down to wait for our turn to arrive. my teacher who was testing me was Mrs FlorenceYeo. I had to wait for 45 minutes before my turn arrived. It was pretty hot in the hall, so I was sweating a bit. The passage was not long, so it only took me a minute or so to finish reading it. Next was the picture, but it was very plain and had very little things to describe. Then it was conversation. she asked me if i had taken part in a compeitition, so i mentioned the blogging compeitition and she smiled (she kept smiling the whole time). The picture was about an art compeitition held in a zoo, and there were two people on an armchair, which was strapped to an elephant, and a peacock with its tail fanned out. A boy held a stick, looking as if he wants to chase it. Next was my mother tongue oral. It was in the HOD room. My teacher was Miss Chong. It was a scene at a book fair. Okay, bye!

International Friendship Day ~7:24 AM
Hello,.......
It will be International Friendship Day soon. I wonder how my school will celebrate it this year??? Last year, it was 1 whole solid hour of recess, my favourite time in school. I'd forgotten last year's International Friendship Day theme, but this year, it is getting to know more about ASEAN. I had already done some researching on ASEAN, and there are 10 countries in ASEAN. ASEAN stands for Association of Southeast Asian Nations. The logo has ten stalks of padi, which represents the dream of ASEAN's founding fathers for an association of ten countries in Southeast Asia joined together in friendship and support for onr another. the ten countries, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar and Cambodia. In my school, and I believe, most schools, have students in different countries.I have friends in ASEAN, but I don't really know who he is. Some distant pen-pal. Boring guy. Oh well. Maybe the school could organise a trip to countries in ASEAN? But I still think the 1 hour recess is still the best!!! Ok, bye!

Learning Journey to the Heritage Museum ~7:32 AM
On 6 of march, my whole class went to the Museum. I was really excited as it was my first time there. In the Museum, there were no staff guides telling us about artifacts and exhibits displayed. Instead, we used a "Companion". It is a device that tells us about that current artifact we are looking at, and it even includes a map of the entire place!
When we arrived there, it started to rain and we were really lucky to have narrowly avoided the rain. The place looked really dark, so I decided to venture around with Didier. We read about something which really interest us, and it was about how slaves had to bathe in a red river in the olden times. The red liquid is not blood, which was what I thought it was the first time round, but later, I read on that it was actually medicine to kill insects and fleas. There is also a mirror room where all 4 walls of the room were mirrors, and there was a screen showing a movie about kampung life and how they survived.
After looking curiously at many other items, we came to a bench. We sat down and listened intently to the "Companion" when, suddenly, somebody jumped in front of us! It was Garyl! As the room was dark, it took me a few seconds to register it. He then asked to join the group and we of course said yes. So, we wandered around some more, and I found out the Museum wasn't that big as I thought it was. We were walking around in a huge circle! So after we took a different route, we encountered a toilet. I was at the point of bursting so I went and they followed me.
Then, I saw a huge brass bell and it had carvings all over it but I wasn't sure what it meant. After that, we did not know where to go. Then we saw somebody walking towards somewhere, and we followed him, and seated on the floor were many people! So I handed in my "Companion", and went in once more, the three of us. We went back to the mirror room once more and then we saw Mrs Azhar. So we went back and got ready to leave the gallery. Then we went to a small gallery where they were showing a clip about some weird monster and I didn't get the gist of it. When the clip was over, we went to another small room behind the screen and for entertainment last time, there was no television and they used puppetry. The common topic was about the heaven and the gods. But the stage was really cool! It was enormous, and the whole thing was made of paper and cardboard! And it looked old, so I wondered how old it was.
After that, we went to switch places with the other half of the class. We went into a different room and this time, it was about fashion and style in the olden times, but that one was pretty boring.
While we were in the room, a man from another country asked Jolene what the stars on her shoulders meant. So she replied that it was a sign that she was a prefect. So the man said it was cool and told everyone around him that in his country, children there had no uniforms to wear and they had to wear their own home clothes, and they had holes and patches,so it looked pretty tattered. After that, he said goodbye to us and walked away with a smile on his face.
Then we went to the last room. And it was about my favourite topic, food! They showed us the past of "roti prata", "char kway tiao"," laksa" and many other stuff. They also put a thing where you put your nose in it and pull a ring, the smell of that spice will puff out and all of them were smelly to me. After that, we sat in a small room and my teacher gave us a survey form. After we completed it we lined up and boarded the bus for home. And time for me to go too!
